Summary

The association at Lake Hinsdale Village requested K2N CREST remodel and bring up to Illinois Accessibility Code the associations men’s and women’s clubhouse pool bathrooms. The existing bathrooms were demolished down to base building core and shell. New circulation, lavatories, water closet, urinals and shower stalls were introduced, all designed to maximize accessibility while being cognizant of where the existing sanitary lines lay under the floor slab in order to keep the demolition to a minimum. In addition to these new plumbing fixtures, accessible dressing areas were added and placed in close proximity to the shower stalls. A central storage room was added for the clubhouse’s seasonal items that were cluttering the building unnecessarily. All of these programmatic items were achieved with the demolished men’s and women’s floor plate.
