ACH Foods

ACH Foods has a bridge spanning approximately 100 feet that houses many vital systems and product delivery piping that connect one side of the plant to the other. This bridge was built in the 1920’s and the years since its construction were not kind. K2N examined several alternatives to replace or move the bridge and the systems it contained, but ended up encapsulating the entire structure in a new weather-proof skin and augmenting the aging steel structure supporting the bridge with a new steel super-structure. This solution was chosen as it was only option that would keep the plant in continuous operation during the construction process. The bridge looks like it was just erected and only people that saw the nearly century old structure before it was encapsulated know it has been there for a long, long time.
