The Filene Center at Wolf Trap National Park

Located in Vienna, Virginia, The Filene Center, at Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts is situated on 130 acres of national park land. The Filene Center is a major indoor/outdoor performance venue with seating for 7,000 both under cover and on the lawn. After a fire destroyed the Filene Center in 1982, the second Filene Center had to be re-built rapidly in order to preserve the venue’s presence in the performing arts community. This resulted in many problems and unresolved building issues that needed to be addressed.

Over a ten year period, K2N Crest investigated and repaired more than 40 various problems and designed improvements for stage floor replacement, structural and functional modification to the loading gallery, caster dollies for moving orchestra shell ceilings and computerized load management programs for the loading grid.
