Villas of Casey Farms

Villas of Casey Farms is located in Hoffman Estates, IL. There are 30 duplex buildings originally clad with a press board siding, which was failing. A vinyl siding was chosen by the homeowners for its low maintenance requirement. Investigated and documented the distress to the siding and authored a report describing our findings, conclusions and recommendations.

Developed plans and specifications for the replacement of the siding.

Issued documents for bid, reviewed the bids from repair contractors, conducted interviews of the low bidders with the board and provided a recommendation.

During the construction administration phase, assisted in contract negotiations between the owners and contractor. Our objective during construction was to keep the owners informed as to how accurately the contractor was complying with the construction documents. Verified compliance with submittal reviews and site visits to observe the work.
